The 2021 winner of the Toshihide Numata Book Award is Christopher V. Jones of the University of Cambridge for his book, The Buddhist Self: On Tathagatagarbha and Atman, published by the University of Hawaii Press.  The award ceremony and symposium was held as a Zoom webinar on November 5, 2021.  Funded by BDK America, the Toshi Award is administered by the Buddhist Studies Center at UC Berkeley, and is given to the best book published about Buddhism in any given year.
